(More customer reviews)We bought two French Pink Pussy Willows in 5-gallon pots about 15 years ago and planted them in our back yard in Missouri. They grew amazingly fast, up to about 30 feet tall and 30 feet in diameter. Eventually one of them split near the base and had to be removed. We removed the other because we had planted it too close to our deck, house, and other trees - not knowing how large it would grow.
These "shrubs" are a favorite of all kinds of birds. They provided shade and privacy. After their spring bloom they left a mess on the lawn, but the flowers disintegrated into the soil within a couple of weeks. I would recommend these shrubs if you have the space for them. Don't expect them to last forever, but with their growth speed they can also be replaced every 15 or 20 years. I would certainly consider them a tree, rather than a bush or shrub though.
